How do you answer how do you handle stress?

Answering how I handle stress depends on the source of the stress. Many things can be eliminated or modified to reduce stress levels, so if the source of stress is something that can be changed or removed, then I will try to do so in order to manage my stress better.

This could involve taking a break from the environment causing the stress and allowing myself some downtime, or coming up with a plan of how to better handle the situation and taking action to reduce the stress.

In addition to actively addressing the source of stress, I use relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, guided imagery and progressive muscle relaxation. I also try to maintain good self-care habits with plenty of sleep, exercising and eating healthy.

I also incorporate positive thinking into my stress management and make sure to stay focused on the good, finding moments of joy. Talking to friends and family also helps to stay centered and connected to supports when things become stressful.

During this process, I also try to incorporate healthy coping strategies, such as physical activity, deep breathing, and meditation, which can help decrease stress levels. Additionally, I make sure to take regular breaks throughout the day to give my mind and body an opportunity to rest and reset.

Finally, I seek out social support from family and friends to create a network of support and accountability. Overall, by taking a proactive approach, I find that I am better equipped to handle the situation at hand and any future stressful scenarios.
