What are the 3 dimensions of health and give an example of each?

The three dimensions of health are physical, mental and social.

Physical health is the ability of the body to function optimally and is maintained through proper exercise, nutrition and sleep. An example of physical health would be setting a regular fitness regimen, such as attending the gym three times a week and following a balanced diet filled with whole foods.

Mental health involves the ability of the mind to process and adapt to changing situations in a healthy way. An example of mental health would be finding healthy coping mechanisms, such as meditation and journaling, to manage stress and other emotionally challenging experiences.

Social health involves the ability to interact with others in a positive, meaningful and healthy way. An example of social health would be establishing meaningful connections with others through activities such as joining a support group or volunteering in the community.
