For this reason, the Type S was considered the top-level specification for the first-generation NSX and was the most desirable and sought-after model.

It is estimated that Honda produced just 500 to 600 Type S models during the four-year period. Of these, a handful of Type S NSXs were produced for Japan and the rest were exported to other markets including the US, Europe and Australia.

As such, it’s safe to say that the Honda NSX Type S remains one of the rarest, most sought-after and desirable performance cars of its era.

Does sport mode use more gas?

Generally speaking, engaging a vehicle’s sport mode does require more gasoline than driving without it. When engaging a vehicle’s sport mode, the driver will typically see an increase in performance levels, as the engine is given additional power.

This means that the engine will be using more fuel in order to sustain the added performance level. Furthermore, when in sport mode, vehicles often work in higher gear ratios, which also consumes additional fuel as the engine has to work harder to keep up with the resulting increase in engine speed.

Driving on the highway or in city traffic with a vehicle’s sport mode engaged can potentially have an impact on overall fuel economy, making a vehicle consume more fuel than it would if it were driven in its normal gear settings.

Does cruise control save gas?

Yes, cruise control can save gas. Cruise control allows you to maintain a constant speed while travelling, which is more fuel efficient than acceleration and deceleration. The longer and steadier you maintain a speed, the more efficiently your car will run.

By automatically maintaining a constant speed, cruise control helps reduce the amount of fuel you were otherwise using to maintain speed or slow down and speed up again. This can be especially beneficial when travelling on highways on longer trips, as it can help you maintain a constant speed for hours.

Cruise control also helps reduce driver fatigue as you don’t need to pay constant attention to the speedometer.

Should I drive in sport mode in snow?

No, it is not recommended to drive in Sport Mode in snow. In this type of weather, it is best to drive in a more conservative, less aggressive manner. Sport Mode makes the car accelerate and brake quicker, as well as increase the level of engine power, but these adjustments are not suitable for slippery road conditions.

Driving in snow requires a steady and controlled acceleration, braking, and steering in order to remain safe and in control of the vehicle. It is best to drive in a more normal mode when driving in snow, as this will provide you with better traction and stability.

In addition, it is important to be aware of the road conditions, keep a safe distance between vehicles, and slow down, as traction is usually a lot lower in snowy conditions.

The Type-S was a higher performance variant of the Integra, featuring a more powerful engine and upgraded suspension components. Although the Integra was much-loved by enthusiasts, it is not clear if Honda still considers the model to have enough of a following to justify developing a new Type-S.

Honda has instead focused on launching new models or updating existing ones with modern improvements, such as the Honda Civic and the Honda Accord.

Is Acura as reliable as Honda?

The short answer to this question is yes, Acura are as reliable as Hondas. Acura is a division of Honda, and all Acura models are built on the same platform as a Honda model. This means that they share the same engine, interior, and drivetrain components.

Many of the parts are interchangeable between the manufacturer’s vehicles, so if anything needs to be replaced, it can typically be done with a Honda part, which is often less expensive than an Acura part.

In addition, Acura vehicles are backed by the same warranties and service plans as Honda. Acura vehicles are also typically manufactured in the same Honda factories, using the same award-winning technology.
