Where in the Bible does it say Truly this was the Son of God?

The shepherds knew that this baby was the Messiah based on what the angels said when they first appeared to them. The angels told the shepherds that a Savior had been born, the Messiah and Lord, who was Christ the Lord.
They proclaimed a message of “great joy” that would be for all people and that the sign of the Messiah’s identity would be a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.
